  1. Prepare 10-12 medium Bombay duck (Bombil)
  2. Make ready to taste Salt
  3. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  4. Take 3 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  5. Take 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  6. Take 1 cup Rice flour
  7. Take as needed Oil for shallow fry
  8. Take 3 Tablespoon Semolina (rawa/suji)
Steps to make Bombil Fry:
  1. Wash fish nicely drain water completely and Slit fish horizontally without cutting through. Pat dry and place them in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and lemon juice to the fish and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-12 min.
  3. Combine rice flour and semolina in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Heat some oil in a pan.
  5. Dust the marinated fish with the flour mixture and place in the pan. Shallow fry in hot oil till golden and crisp from both sides. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with lemon wedge and onion.
