- In bowl, take gram flour, salt, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and dried fenugreek leaves and mix it well.
- Now add water in it and make not to runny and not so thick batter.
- Meanwhile, heat generous amount of oil in a wok and make badi of it and deep fry them.
- In the same bowl in which you've prepared the batter, add water in it which will be required for gravy and mix it properly.
- Now pour this gravy in a big vessel and put it on flame and cook it for 25-30 minutes on medium flame.
- Now add tamarind pulp in it, mix it well then add fried badi in it and cook it until it starts swelling/rising then switch off the flame.
- Now heat 1-2 tablespoon of oil in a tempering pan, add rest cumin seeds, dried red chillies, asafoetida and bay leaves in it and allow it to crackle.
- Now add it in your your badi gravy.
- Your Besan badi in tamarind gravy is ready to serve now.
