- Take For Chutney:
- Take 4-5 red chillies
- Prepare 2 tomatoes
- Prepare 4-5 garlic cloves
- Prepare 1 onion
- Make ready As required Water
Instructions to make Momos- Fried and steamed with momo chutney:
- For making the steamed momos, take 2 cups of Maida put a tsp of salt or as per taste. Mix them well. make a dough of the maida using water. Make sure that the dough is neither sticky nor dry. It should be like fondant used for cakes.
- Same way make the dough of wheat flour for fried momos.
- The stuffing will be same for both the momos. If want to make only type of momo then take a half of all the veggies.
- For making stuffing, take some grated cabbage, grated carrot, finely chopped onions and capsicum.
- Put it in a kadhai and roast the veggies on a medium until they are golden brown. It would take approximately 10 mins. Now after the veggies turn the flame of as we don't want the veggies to be dry now add some salt 1 tsp, some ginger, butter 1 tsp black pepper and some veggies sauce. The stuffing is ready.
- The steamed momos will be steamed in a steamer. If you don't have steamer then take a kadhai fill it with some water, put a stand over it and put a small plate over it in which momos will be steamed and then finally cover the kadhai with a thali or big plate. Preheat kadhai for 10 mins
- For making both the momos, take a peice of dough roll it fill centre with a tsp of prepared veggies stuffing and then close the momo and give a desirable design to it.
- Make momos from both Maida and aata dough. Put the momos in the steamer or the prepared kadhi kadhai and steam it for 20-25 mins.
- Fry the wheat flour momos in another kadhai until they are golden brown.
- Momos are ready but something is missing?Chutney.
- For making homemade momo chutney take a microwave safe bowl to that add 1/2 cup water now add 4 - 5 garlic cloves, 5 red chilies 2 tomatoes and 1 small onion. Microwave it for 3 mins.
- After 3 mins remove veggies let it cool and then put it a grinder and grind it. Chutney is ready add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 red chilli powder to it.
- Steamed momos, fried momos with chutney are ready. After this you would never go to restaurant for eating momos. Enjoy the momos.
