  1. Make ready 2 cups Long grain aromatic rice

Steps to make Pulao:
  1. First soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.

  3. In that oil first add the cauliflower florets & fry for a while & then add rest of the vegetables & fry them untill the raw smell goes away.
  4. Once the veggies are nicely done add cashew nuts & give it a good mix with all the other veggies.
  5. Now add the presoaked rice into the pan & carefully mix it with other ingredients on a medium high flame. On this point don't use a steel spatula otherwise the rice going to be broke.
  6. After that add salt & sugar & finally add the warm water. The ratio of the rice & water should be 1:2 but as I have already soaked the rice for a moderate period of time so I am using water for rice.
  7. Now close the lid & cook it on medium heat until all the water is absorbed then on a low flame cook another 4-5 minutes until the rice is fully done.
  8. In case you are using pressure cooker, cook upto one whistle on medium high heat & take off the cooker from heat & let it rest for another 15 minutes then open the lid.
  9. Now the pulao is done & ready to be served. Enjoy it with your favorite side dish or you can also eat this with raita.
