  2. Par boil the cowpeas
  3. Wash to sorghum and add to par boil cowpeas
  4. Boil together until tender
  5. Drain the water
  6. Fry the onions to golden brown
  7. Add the garlic and ginger and fry until brown
  8. Add the pilau masala and cook evenly
  9. Add royco (optional)
  10. Add the sorghum cowpea mix and simmer for 10 min
  11. Add the chopped dhania and serve hot with vegetables.

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) belongs to the Poaceae family. In Kenya, it is grown in Western, Eastern, Northern Rift valley and some parts of Central province and it is cultivated majorly for its seeds.
