- Soak 1 cup of rice in 5hrs
- Drain the water from the soaked rice and grind it with egg and coconut milk until very smooth
- Strain the batter through a strainer.this would help to remove all tiny particles in the batter
- Add sugar and combine together till the sugar dissolve it with the batter
- Add cardamom and cumin seeds
- If u feel the batter is thick consistency, u can add more coconut milk or water
- Grease the steel bowl or cake panwith the ghee
- Pour the batter in to the cake pan
- Keep the cake pan into the steamer
- Steam cook for 20 to 25 mins low flame
- After 25 u can check whether it is cooked
- Let it cool completely slice the steamed cake and serve it
- Tasty kinnathapam is ready to taste
