  6. Take 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom powder

Instructions to make Sweet Banana Appam:
  1. Peel the banana and mash them in a bowl using fork or hand or can blend in a mixie to fine puree. (Banana should be really ripe)
  2. To the banana puree add in rice flour, maida, salt, cumin powder, cardamom powder, baking soda, melted Jaggery. Mix well with a spoon. The batter should not be too thick nor runny.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai. Oil should be medium heat. Take spoon full of batter and drop in hot oil one by one. Cook till both side turns golden brown colour. Transfer to a plate lined with kitchen tissue. Repeat the procedure for the rest of the batter.
  4. The outer part will be crispy and the inner part will be soft.
