Ayam penyet is an Indonesian dish fried chicken, lightly smashed, normaly served with rice, raw salad as a side dish, super hot sambal chilli and lime. Penyet is Javanese term for "squeezed" or "pressed", thus ayam penyet means "squeezed chicken". It is quite similar to another popular Indonesian fried chicken dish ayam geprek, as both are fried chicken smashed and mixed together with hot and spicy sambal chili paste. Arrange chicken in pot, add crushed bay leaves.
Steps to make Ayam Penyet (Squeeze Chicken):

- Fry the chicken and tofu in deep fry, turn the chicken and tofu when it turns golden brown./Goreng ayam dan tahu dengan deep fry, balik ayam dan tahu saat sudah berwarna cokelat keemasan. 1. Squeeze or smash the chicken and tofu in the cobek with sambal./Peras atau hancurkan ayam dan tahu di cobek dengan sambal. 1. Serve the chicken and tofu with plain rice, cucumber, and cabbage as a salad./Sajikan ayam dan tahu dengan nasi putih, ketimun, dan kubis sebagai salad.
