  1. Make ready 4 pieces chicken
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup mala

  1. Remove skin from chicken then make slits on top to allow marinate to penetrate the pieces
  2. Sprinkle and rub juice from lemon on all the pieces and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine the mala, salt, turmeric, ginger and minced garlic till well mixed.
  4. Put the chicken pieces into the bowl and make sure they are all covered in the mixture.
  5. Cover bowl with either lid or a clingfilm and let the chicken marinate for a minimum of 2 hours. (I left mine for about 12 hours in the fridge)
  6. Remove pieces from marinate and discard the excess mixture.
  7. Grill the chicken pieces either in the oven or a charcoal jiko until well cooked.
  8. Serve with your favourite veges and enjoy.
