- Reduce the flame to low and put the idli stand inside the idli pot.
- Cover the pot and cook it on medium flame for 12-15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes check it with fork and turn off the flame.
- Let it cool for few minutes. Then gently remove the idli with knife from the mould, put it on a plate.
