- Boil 1 glass water
- Chop onion
- Chop broccoli
- In a bowl take jowar flour, add chopped broccoli, onion, chilli paste, coriander and salt mix well.
- Knead a dough with warm water. Use little little water at a time and make dough.
- Heat the tawa.
- Make medium balls and directly spread talipeeth on tawa or make it on plastic sheets. Make 3-4 holes
- Slowly take it from sheets and roast on heated tawa. It ll take little time to roast. Roast from both sides.
- Usually it is served with curd and shenga podi along with green chilli and onion.
- I have served it with shenga alsi chutney,( peanutflax dry chutney,curd along with fried green chilli, onion and tomato.
On a hot tawa (flat skillet) place the flattened dough very. Usually made with jowar / sorghum / finger millet flours, it's also enjoyed best made with a mix of multigrain flours. I have used several GF flours for this flatbread. To make the thalipeeth in the traditional way, heat the skillet on low flame and add some oil over it. Now sprinkle few sesame seeds and place the thalipeeth dough portion over it.
