  1. Firstly,make three slits in brinjal and place one clove of garlic inside and heat it on stove burner on all the sides on a medium low flame.
  2. Now complete the process with all the brinjals and remove the skin once when it gets cooled,then mash it with potato masher and keep it aside.
  3. In a kadai,add oil,mustard seeds,ginger garlic paste,mashed brinjal,onions and stir fry them. I have not added tomatoes,as I did not have,you can add it after the onion becomes translucent.
  4. Now add,chilli powder,garam masala,coriander powder and salt as required,Now stir it, until it combines well with the masala. Barta is ready,serve it with roti or rice.
