The ingredients needed to make Gobi Manchurian:
  1. Take Cauliflower (small sized)
  2. Get Egg
  3. Prepare Corn flour
  4. Prepare All purpose flour
  5. Take Soya sauce
  6. Prepare Tomato sauce
  7. Make ready Pepper powder
  8. Make ready Red chilli powder
  9. Make ready Turmeric powder
  10. Take Onion (finely chopped)
  11. Prepare Capsicum (chopped)
  12. Prepare Garlic (chopped)
  13. Take Ginger garlic paste
  14. Take Green chilli (chopped)
  15. Make ready Oil – for deep frying the florets
  16. Make ready Salt – as needed
  17. Take Water
  18. Make ready Coriander leaves (chopped)
  19. Make ready Spring onions (chopped)
Instructions to make Gobi Manchurian:
  1. Mix little salt to water and boil. Blanch the cauliflower florets in this boiling water for 4 minutes. Drain and keep it aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix corn flour, all purpose flour, pepper powder, red chilli powder, and salt.
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp soya sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce and egg to the above mixture and mix well to form a smooth paste, without any lumps. Egg may be omitted as we are adding corn flour/ all purpose flour as binding agent.
  4. Marinate the cauliflower florets in this mixture for atleast 1 hour.
  5. Then heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the marinated cauliflower. Allow to drain excess oil and keep them aside.
  6. Now heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and saute the onions for a minute.
  7. Add in the chopped garlic and green chillis.
  8. Next add the capsicum. And saute.
  9. Next add the fried cauliflower and mix well.
  10. Pour in 2 tbsp tomato sauce and 1 tbsp soya sauce and mix well.
  11. Add in the chopped coriander leaves and spring onions. Mix and turn the flame off.
  12. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and spring onions.
