Instructions to make Chana Masala Gravy:
  1. Rinse chickpeas and soak for 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Add them to a pot and pour water and ghee.
  3. Cook the chana until soft on a medium heat.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp oil in the pot.add sliced onion and garlic,fry till light golden.then take out.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes,fried garlic, onion and blend it.
  6. Heat 2 tbsp oil,add kalonji and cumin seeds.
  7. When it start to splutter add garlic onion tomatoes paste in pot.
  8. Add salt, turmeric powder,chilli powder, corainder powder.
  9. Add half cup water and saute until the mixture leaves the sides of the pot.
  10. Add cooked chickpeas and enough water for gravy.
  11. Bring it to a boil and simmer until it reaches the desired consistency.
  12. Add garam masala powder, cover and set a side until serve.
  13. Chana masala Gravy is ready.
  14. Serve with rice or roti.
