- Add sugar
- Add roasted poppy seeds and chironji
- Mix well and cook until a uniform mixture, till it starts leaving sides. Add chopped dry fruits, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder. Mix well everything and allow the mixture to cool completely
- In a mixing bowl take maida, Suji and 2 tablespoons of ghee. Mix well and knead a semi soft dough using cold milk or water
- Keep it covered aside for 15-20 minutes
- Now prepare small balls of ready dough and roll out small puris
- Take ready coconut stuffing and place it in the middle of puri
- Fold the puri and seal the ends with finger or use a cutter
- Heat sufficient ghee in a pan
- Deep fry Karanji on low heat until golden in colour
- Allow them to cool completely and then store in air tight container
- Garnish as you like and serve with lots of love and enjoy festivities with family and friends
