To get started with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook cheesy crockpot buffalo chicken dip using 6 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Cheesy Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip:
  1. Prepare 1 pound boneless chicken breast
  2. Prepare 2 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese
  3. Get 1 cup buttermilk ranch dressing
  4. Prepare 1 cup hot sauce - my favorite is Sweet Baby Rays Buffalo Wing
  5. Take 2-3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  6. Take 1/2 cup water

It's the most hands off recipe! The dip is ready when the cheese is fully melted and you no longer see chunks of cream cheese. This makes the dip even more creamy but does cut down on some of the buffalo flavor so I only recommend this addition if you are sensitive to buffalo sauce flavor. Add cream cheese and stir until blended thoroughly.

Instructions to make Cheesy Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip:
  1. Bring a pot of water to boil and boil the chicken breasts until cooked through.
  2. Turn your crock pot on high and begin melting the cream cheese. It's faster if you cut the cheese up first. I forgot lol
  3. Once the chicken has cooked through, shred it. For bigger chunks like in the photo, hand pull the chicken. For fine shreds, use two forks.
  4. Add the ranch, buffalo sauce, and shredded cheese to the crock pot and stir until combined. Then add the shredded chicken and water. For thicker dip, skip the water.
  5. Cook on high for 2 hours, and give it a good stir at the end. Enjoy!

This makes the dip even more creamy but does cut down on some of the buffalo flavor so I only recommend this addition if you are sensitive to buffalo sauce flavor. Add cream cheese and stir until blended thoroughly. Pour the dip into the crock pot and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on the top.
