The ingredients needed to make Rajma Pulao:
  1. Make ready 1 cup Boiled Rajma(kidney beans)
  2. Take 2 cup sliced onions
  3. Make ready 1 cup tomato puree
  4. Take 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  5. Get 2 tbsp green chillies paste
  6. Take 1 tbsp cumin powder
  7. Get 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  8. Get 1 tbsp coriander powder
  9. Take 1 tbsp garam masala
  10. Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  11. Prepare To taste Salt
  12. Prepare 3-4 tbsp Oil/butter
  13. Take 1 Cardamom
  14. Make ready 2 Cloves
  15. Get 1 dalchini/cinnamon stick
  16. Get 1 tej patta(bay leaf)
Steps to make Rajma Pulao:
  1. For boiled rajma u need to soak rajma for 4-5hrs in a water.
  2. Then rinse off the water from it and put it in a pressure cooker with one cup of water in it.
  3. Give it 3-4whistles.Boiled rajma is ready.
  4. Now take a kadai and heat oil to it.
  5. Add cumin seeds to it.
  6. Add cardamom,cloves, cinnamon stick,bay leaf to it
  7. Now add sliced onions to the oil and fry it until the onion changes aromat.
  8. Add ginger garlic and green chillies paste to it and mix it well.
  9. Now once the onion changes it's colour add tomato puree in it.
  10. Cook it for 3-4minutes.
  11. Add turmeric powder,salt,garam masala,and jeera powder to it.
  12. Again mix it altogether and cook the masala for atleast 3-4minutes.
  13. Cook masala until it separates oil from it.
  14. Now add the boiled rajma to the masala and cook it for 2-3minutes.
  15. Add kasuri methi powder (this step is optional)to give it a nice flavor.
  16. After 2-3minutes turn off the gas the rajma is ready.
  17. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice.
  18. For making pulao soak 1cup of basmati rice for 15-20minutes.
  19. Take a vessel add 2cups of water in it.
  20. Bring it to a boil.
  21. Now add a pinch of salt to the boiling water,a cardamom,a clove and boil it.
  22. Now add the rice to it and cook it for 3-4minutes.
  23. U will see the rice is cooked nicely.
  24. Rinse of the rice from the water and eat hot with the vegetabl curry.
