- When removed from tin carefully turn the cake upside down (so you have a flat top) then slice the cake in half and spread one side with the strawberry jam
- Now make the butter cream
- Place the icing sugar and butter into a bowl and wisk together, Add 2 tsp of Vanilla extract and wisk again.
- Add the Double cream and whip until it is stiff.
- Spread the buttercream on the other cake layer and sandwich both cakes together
- PLACE THE CAKE ONTO A CAKE BOARD : You can Spread the remainer butter cream on to the top and sides of the cake.
- Lightly dust the cake with a little icing sugar and if you like use a fork to squiggle patterns on top (iv chosen ×××)
- Now place in a refrigerator for 2 hours or over night.
