  1. Make ready 1 cup chana daal soaked for about 3-4 hrs
  2. Take 2 tomoato

  7. Prepare 1/4 tsp garam masala
  8. Take 1 Small piece of ginger

  1. Roughly chop the tomatoes.
  2. Take mixer and add tomostoes, green chilli, ginger and grind them making a puree of it
  3. Take a pressure cooker, add approx 2-3 cup of water for boiling daal, 1/2 tsp salt and soaked chana dal.
  4. Pressure cook chana dal for about 7-8 whistles so that it gets boil to 90%.
  5. Heat oil in pan and add jeera, tej patta.
  6. Keep the pan at medium flame and add red chilli powder and instantly add puree in the pan and mix well.
  7. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and mix well.
  8. Cook the masala on medium flame untill it starts leaving oil from sides.
  9. Rinse out the boil chana dal from the water.
  10. When the masala is cooked, add daal and 2 cups of water
  11. Add salt to taste and let it boil on medium flame by covering with the lid so that all masalas are absorbed by daal and mix well for about at least 15 min.
  12. If you feel water is less add more according to your requirement.
  13. Tan Tana… The protein rich sabzi is ready for the family.
  14. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve them with plain paratha, fulka, and it even complimenets great with rice.
