  1. Heat the oil in a deep pan on medium flame. When the oil is heated immerse the thick poha in a pan with fine sieve.
  2. Deep fry the poha until it becomes crisp.once done transfer it to tissue paper.
  3. Once poha is fried, fry dry coconut slices, peanuts, roasted chana dal, cashews, almonds and raisins. Transfer it to tissue paper.
  4. Now heat 2 tbs of oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, once it is splutter add cumin seeds, switch off the gas.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, pinch of asafoetida, garam masala, coriander seed powder and stir well.
  6. Add sugar and salt. Toss all ingredients together well. Chivda is ready to serve. store in air tight container.
