The ingredients needed to make Raw Banana Honey Chilli:
- Get 3 large sized raw banana cut into 1 inch roundels
- Get 4 tbsp corn flour
- Make ready as per taste Salt
- Take as required Oil for deep frying
- Prepare for Sauce–
- Get 2 tbsp oil
- Make ready 1 tbsp garlic finely chopped
- Take 1 tbsp green chillies finely chopped
- Make ready 3 tbsp white sesame seeds
- Prepare 1 tbsp Red Chilli sauce
- Prepare 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- Take 1 tsp vinegar
- Make ready 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- Take 1 tsp black pepper powder
- Prepare as per taste Salt
- Make ready 1 tbsp cornflour slurry
- Make ready 1 1/2 tbsp honey
- Make ready 2 tbsp Spring onions chopped (only greens)
- Prepare 1/2 tsp sugar
Instructions to make Raw Banana Honey Chilli:
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok or kadhai. Add chopped garlic and saute for a minute
- Add green chillies and sesame seeds and saute for a another minute to toast them.
- Add salt as per taste and 1 tsp sugar. Cook for a minute.
- Add red chilli sauce, soy sauce and vinegar to this mixture. Mix well and cook for a minute
- Add tomato sauce and black pepper powder and mix it well.
- Add the corn flour slurry. Corn flour slurry is a mixture of 1 tbsp of corn flour with little water,to make into a thick paste.
- Keep stirring until the sauce is thickened. Cook for few minutes remove it from flame and add honey and spring onions green to it. Keep it aside
- Peel and Cut the raw banana into 1 inch roundels. Dip these roundels into corn flour and salt mixture to coat them well from all sides
- Heat the oil in a kadai and deep fry the raw banana in batches till the raw banana are half cooked. Remove it on tissue paper or butter paper.
- Once they are cooled down, one by one press then gently with your palms to flatten them.
- Now in hot oil fry these flattened raw banana pieces until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove the excess oil and transfer to a plate.
- Finally add these to the Honey chilli sauce and coat it all over.
- Serve them immediately garnished with more roasted sesame seeds and spring onion greens.
