Wash the potatoes and then cut into shreds of similar size. Prepare a clean bowl with clean water. Then soak the shredded potatoes in water for several Drain shredded potatoes and set aside. This crockpot chowder is made with spicy chorizo sausage, but feel free to substitute another fresh sausage, such as a hot or mild Italian sausage.
