  4. You can put this in fridge and it will last about 3-4 days. you can also freeze it.
  5. When you want to serve, take it out and grill (or fry) them for about 15-20 minutes. I like to smear the chicken with the left over sauce during the grill.

Pour over chicken strips and mix so chicken is well coated on all sides. Heat vegetable oil in a pot (large enough to arrange the chicken in one layer). Add lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves, water, kecap manis, tamarind puree, salt and sugar, and bring to a boil.
