  1. Make ready 1 cup boiled corn
  2. Take 1 green chilli paste
  3. Prepare 1.5 cups bread crumbs
  4. Prepare 1 tsp ginger paste

  7. Get as per taste salt
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp black pepper powder

  12. Get 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  13. Take 1 boiled and mashed potato

I used rice flour as the binding agent in these patties, you can also use all purpose flour or chickpea flour (besan) in place. Spicy corn Patties makes a healthy and delicious snack. They are also vegan and gluten free. This is a quick and easy recipe.

Steps to make Corn patties:
  1. Keep aside 1 tbsp corn. Make coarse paste of rest of corn. Add 1 tsp oil to pan. Add ginger and chilli paste. Saute for 5 seconds. Add corn paste. Saute for 1 minute.
  2. In a bowl add all ingredients except oil and 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs. Mix well.
  3. Make small balls and flatten that. Roll on breadcrumbs.
  4. Add 2.5 tbsp oil into pan. Let it hot. Add flatten balls and shallow fry both sides till golden brown. Fry in low flame each side for 2 minutes and then in high flame for 30 seconds. Serve with sauce.

Tikkis are generally stuffed whereas patties or cutlet mixture are combined together then fried. We ate ours with green chutney and sauce.
