This Fried fish with tomato gravy is served with a Kenyan staple, Ugali. The fish is deep fried until crispy and coated with a thick tomato gravy. I also serve it with some collard greens and avocado. If you have lived in Kenya or visited the country, Mbuzi Choma (barbecued Goat meat) or Nyama Choma is something you must have had at least once.

  1. Cut your meat and steam with a bit salt till tender…
  2. Chop your onions and add to your meat after its steamed, add a bit oil
  3. Fry till your onions are golden brown
  4. Add your chopped tomatoes and tomato paste stir and add your maggi cubes, cover and cook on low heat
  5. For the kales fry your onions with olive oil, add chopped tomatoes, add salt to taste, cook till your tomatoes are soft, add your kales and cook for 5mins
  6. For ugali pour 2 cups of water in a pot, let it boil and stir your maize flour gladually…cook for about 10mins.
  7. Enjoy with a glass of milk and an Avocado!

I also serve it with some collard greens and avocado. If you have lived in Kenya or visited the country, Mbuzi Choma (barbecued Goat meat) or Nyama Choma is something you must have had at least once. The meat is cooked over an open flame and traditionally served with ugali, kachumbari (a tomato and onion salad) and some salt.
