  7. Get 3 tbsp black pepper
  8. Prepare Splash olive oil at the end

  3. Cover pot. After about 30 mins add salt, sugar, pepper and let boil, covered for an hour. Continue to stir about every 30 minutes until finished. Add pinch of red pepper at end. Add salt/ sugar and pepper to your liking.
  4. Add cooked bacon back into pot. Traditionally many used “fatback” instead of bacon for deeper flavor OR you may used smoked turkey wing or smoked turkey neck!
  5. Enjoy with sweet cornbread with a tad bit of hot sauce and vinegar
