  5. Make ready 1 dash Sesame oil
  6. Prepare 1 Nori seaweed

  4. Put the mixture from Step 2 on top of the tofu in Step 3, and drizzle with some sesame oil. Scatter some shredded nori seaweed on top and it's done.
  5. Trivia: You can tell whether your whitebait fish are fresh by the way they curve up! Make sure to check them when you're buying them.

Tofu has a distinctive texture and taste. It has a creamy mouthfeel, almost like soft cheese, but the flavor is very mild. Medium tofu isn't as delicate as silken tofu, but it still won't hold up to vigorous cooking methods like stir-frying. It's best marinated and baked for salads. Chilled tofu (Hiyayakko) is a HEALTHY appetizer that requires NO COOKING.
